Slow trash empty after snow leopard upgrade

    is anybody else getting a slow trash empty after upgrading to snow leopard upgrade? i cannot work out why!

    just putting it out there

    normal for me. try waiting for the next snow leopard update and repair disk permissions.

    Are you sure you are not using "Secure Empty"? In some installations of Snow Leopard, the preference was set to Secure Empty. In my case, the regular empty did not show up at all. Going into Preferences and unchecking "Secure Empty" brought back the regular empty.

    thats exactly what the issue was! unticked the box in the finder settings and it's working perfectly now.
