Hi

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-Inch, Mid 2015) running OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.4

Ever since I bought it I've had issues with browsing the internet. When I click on a link, the progress bar often gets stuck for 10+ seconds or even permanently as shown in the screenshot I've attached. I know this isn't a wifi speed or broadband issue as I also have a Late 2011 13 Inch Mac Book and this doesn't have any issues at all on the same wifi.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Martyn

Have you checked your WiFi link speed? Applications - Utilities - Network Utility will tell you. As an experienced user there's probably no chance you've connected to a gruesome old WiFi g node, but it's worth looking. With my Macbook I see a link speed of 1GHz when it's close to the router, an Archer D7 AC unit.

Thanks for the reply.

I just checked the network utility like you said and it's showing a link speed of 600 Mbit/s, which is faster than that shown on my older 2011 macbook so I'm guessing thats not it. What else could it be?
