That's true. I prefer that people don't know. I don't like to be treated differently. No one person is better than someone else simply because of wealth :)

A rich man who wears a Canadian tuxedo? It could happen...
:)

Most people guess #1 until they see his car, watch, wife's clothes, etc.
I know some folks, that appearance wise they appear wealthy, but actually have very little assets. Big hat and no cattle as they say. Appearances can be deceiving.

Note, I'm not saying in your case, just making a general statement.

Someone mentioned farmers. I know some who are debt free and own a couple of square miles of good farming land, and live simply. Contrast that with the fellow down the road, who is in debt up to his ears and owns nothing, and just went out and purchased a very expensive combine on credit.

One may look better off on the surface, but the foundation is what counts.

Wealthy people are interesting. Usually the people that are wealthy, but not disgustingly so (such as big time celebrities and athletes) show their wealth off via nice clothes, cars, and so on. But the next level up is actually the opposite - in many cases you wouldn't know it by looking at them at all. I guess you get to a point where you cease to care whether people know you're rich or not.
Pretty much agree.

I knew a fellow that worked for the government all his life. He recently passed away. He was in his 80's. His networth was well over 50 million. Yet every day he would drive to work in his simple old Honda 4 door sedan. He was like everyone's grandfather, quiet, non-assuming type, and worked until he passed away.

In general, it seems many who are wealthy tend to hide their wealth. Celebrities on the other hand tend to flaunt it.

I snapped a picture of some lady who fell asleep at Starbucks the other day lmao

I saw a ~400lb man fall asleep in his own booth at a Chinese Buffet near my school...my friends and I hypothesized that he got stuck and didnt want to make a scene so he just gave up and fell asleep.

And as for sucking teeth and slurping coffee, I once sat across the aisle on a trans-atlantic flight from a very old man with a very dry mouth who insisted on noisily peeling his tongue off the roof of his mouth...for the entire flight. This was before the era of the iPod and my Discman's battery only lasted a couple of hours!
