I'm using the basic model of mac mini late 2012, and had been using since early 2013.

The reason why I am considering changing back to PC is simply that I am using win7 almost entirely on bootcamp and hardly use the mac component. The system is getting slower and slower and I am not sure if there is hardware and software issues both present. The USBs often cannot support multiple devices for some reason.

I wonder if I can get some advices, with my following requirements

1. fast system for multi-tasking but not for gaming
2. support windows 7
3. had more and reliable usb ports (currently i had 4)
4. able to fit into a typical check in luggage.
5. relatively value for money
6. do not require DIY.

First off, Yosemite is known for not running on HDDs well. It only runs well on SSDs.

Second, if you're looking for portability, your needs would be better served by a MacBook Air.

I'm a software engineer and everybody in my company uses Macs, even the ones who use Windows almost exclusively. When asked, they said that they love the Mac's hardware and design.

I have a 13" rMBP for travelling purposes and use a 4-port USB 3.0 hub (AC powered, but I just use my power bank to power the hub) and it does support several devices through a single port well.
