This entry pro 6.1" price sounds better and I assume the majority of people who get the pro model get 128GB. Most people pay monthly for iCloud storage so they will most likely make that $100 off the person.

Well, not long now until speculation is proven true or untrue. Its amazing how many analysts get it wrong, and continue to spout their theories with not a lot of credibility. They are the Weather Network of iPhones.

I hope, if they keep the base Pro model price tag, they'll decrease the price on Europe. 1.322€ ($1.415) for the BASE model its absolutely RIDICULOUS!!
They rise the price because of last year currency devaluation, but now it's as usual again...
it is. 1.322€ is a showstopper - I hope Apple is aware. 1099€ Would be valid.

local currency in this case USA great! But for those who pay with their local currency, it's not.

Right, sometimes it's even CHEAPER outside the U.S. The pre-tax price starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro in the U.S. is $999 which is equal to around 147,247 yen while the current pre-tax price of the iPhone 14 in Japan is only 136,182 yen. The Apple price (not Apple price plus purchases taxes) in Japan is 11,065 yen or $75 LESS than the price for the same phone in the U.S.

In addition, 1TB iPhone can no longer hold the iPhone Data solely. I really hope Apple increases the iCloud+ Storage cap. They need to offer it to 4GB at least. Hopefully, next week, we get an announcement for that as well.
I get you. I don't need my phone to hold all my data locally, but I really would like to see that 2TB cap raised. This summer, we were in the middle of a road trip and suddenly discovered that we hit the 2 TB ceiling. I had to bite the bullet and purchase iCloud+ with additional 2 TB storage to cover my family's storage needs.

Invest in an external hard drive Yes there's a chance it could go bad but get a spare one just in case.

Yep, already doing that. Last year, I consolidated my decades of HDD/CD-R/DVD-Rs, etc, and moved it over to a set of new SSDs. Kept just what I wanted and deleted/destroyed the old drives. I now keep a local backup of all my cloud storage, and vice versa. If the cloud ever loses anything, I still have my local files. If my SSDs ever fail, I have my cloud backup.

The challenge is that my iCloud+ account backs up the entire family's data, individually and collectively, so as the family moves forward, storage requirements will only increase.

Reading this article and seeing the specs between the various phones, Apple's naming scheme is kind of confusing. When talking about screen size, the pro is smaller than the Plus, and it seems like the only difference between the two is the 120 hz vs. 60 hz. This actually makes me wonder why people would buy the pro because it's not really all that different and it has a smaller screen. I don't notice the 120 vs. 60 thing that much, and maybe getting the Plus is worth it to save some money. Then you have platforms like the MacRumors show saying don't get the Plus and I guess I'm just a little confused why the Pro would be a better phone with a smaller screen?

The Plus has a 60hz screen, slower chip (usually the year previous) aluminium frame, the camera is lower specs (no 48mp Raw).

in US at least, you get slap on the face at Apple store: 900 plus becomes $930 if buying unlocked. Further it is 70 bucks only until 14 Pro. People buy Pro for better CPU(albeit not that big of a difference), 3x optical zoom lens, 120hz, stainless steel body, a little bit better screen for color, dynamic island, trade-in value(pros do depreciate less at least in apple trade in table), 48mp RAW.

All in all, you could think that regular iphone is a pro iphone of 1-2 years ago - this year base should get the 48mp camera to catch up with last years Pros.
