What are the smallest / most portable external speakers that I can get for my MBA?
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
I use this monster Bluetooth one. It's got great sound in a very small package.
I have the same one, it's decent.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I heard that bluetooth speakers aren't as smooth as wired speakers and that there is a noticeable lag in the audio (noticeable when watching videos / movies). Do you think this is true?

Haven't used it myself but I've heard good things about 12 South's BassJump. Comes with software which changes the built in speakers to tweeters and their mini sub deals with all the lows and mids
I use Altec Lansing iM227 Orbit MP3 speakers. These speakers produce very good sound.
The Jawbone Jambox is excellent.
Saw this speaker on offer on Amazon. I have no idea how they are:
Personally, I have the below speaker from Supertooth - probably bigger than you are after but I love it:
No idea how good this thing is, but: http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/super-mini-cube-speaker/

12 south BassJump
Since this is going to be mostly for home usage, and since I already have a good speaker set up at home, I decided to go with this product instead:
I know it's quite different than what I originally said I was looking for, but I think it will serve my purpose best. Thanks for all the responses though.
