All iPads Smart Connector wear

after using my iPad with the Magic Keyboard for a couple of days, I noticed that the contacts on the back of the iPad had areas in which they were slightly darker and shinier.

it seems wierd for that to happen only after a few days and only detaching the keyboard a handful of times…

is this normal or caused by wear from being attached to the keyboard?

Not sure how it would wear. All it's doing is touching it not rubbing or moving around

Not sure I would have ever looked 🙄 but yes, checking my Smart Connector I do see signs of wear. So it does sound normal.

Unless you are incredibly precise, the is always a little bit of movement as it snaps into place.

I’m surprised that this is enough to cause rub marks after only removing and attaching the keyboard a handful of times

Signs of wear yes, but also remember it is passing current so naturally it will become darker due to normal heat etc.
