Smart Folder - possible to exclude items?

I'm playing around with Smart Folders (10.5.2) and I've run across something frustrating. I can't seem to find a way to exclude items. For example, I have a folder for documents I've modified in the last days. But it includes a bunch of files in a cache folder that I'd like to exclude. However, the search criteria doesn't have a way to indicate 'is not.' Only 'is.'

Anyone have an idea?
