I bought the iPad 12.9” + Smart Folio (without the keyboard) 5 days ago. When I’m using the iPad and the Folio is open (and therefore the front of the cover is attached to the back of the cover), the magnets have become very loose and they detach from the back with the minimum movement.

I’m planning to go to the Apple Store because I don’t think it’s normal. Did anybody else have the same issue?

You have to remember that millions of these accessories and devices are made. So at some point there will be one that's defective. Its normal. I had a dead pixel on my iPad and chalked it up as one of many that was defective.

Post your outcome from the Apple store. I'm sure they will replace it. If you got it when you purchased your iPad, then its covered for a year?
