Smart key board not capitalizing i

since installing ios 10- my smart keyboard will not automatically capitize i or add an apostrophe to words like dont or wont (see?). I have checked settings, turned it off etc. Any suggestions? Had no trouble before ios 10.

Try resetting the keyboard autocorrect settings.
General/Reset/Reset Keyboard Dictionary

It does to me on every device on iOS 10.
