Hi

I have just purchased an iPad pro for college.

I'm looking at a keyboard to use and at €180 ($215) in Ireland I think the Apple Smart Keyboard is a bit steep for a keyboard.

Can anybody recommend a good cheaper alternative?

I don’t think it’s cheaper, but I’m really enjoying the Logitech Slim Combo (12.9). I hear the 10.5 version isn’t as good...

I am using a Logitech Create for my 12.9 iPad Pro. While it‘s pretty chunky, it‘s easy enough to quickly get the iPad out of the case and use it by itself if I want to, and typing on my lap feels a much more secure operation than with some other cases.

I typically use the Smart Keyboard for convenience, but I also have the Logitech Keys-to-go which I'm a fan of as well. It's very portable with a surprising amount of key travel for it's size.

Check out smart keyboards on ebay! There are plenty of people that bought them and didn't like them and you can find them for around half the price which is nice.
