Made this comment in another thread but don't you think these items should have been shipped to existing customer orders prior to providing stock to retail stores? Not really pleased with how this is being handled. These aren't customized items, no valid reason for this.

Ordered the iPad Pro, Pencil, and Smart Keyboard at approximately 12:30am (Nov.11). Received tablet a couple days later; however, Pencil and S. Keyboard delivery date: 20-30 Nov, still says Processing. Anybody with same delivery date change to "Shipping"? [SoCal] Thanks!
Hear, hear! I couldn't disagree with you my friend!I ordered at what would have been 1:30 your time and received a slightly better date range of 19-27. On the phone I was "promised" that it was shipping for delivery on the 19th. Since I was still in "processing" (and still am) late yesterday contacted Apple again. I was told the rep was incorrect when they gave me that date and I would receive the pencil by the 27th. Based on everything going on and I'm sure the need to have stock sent the the stores every day so Joe/Jane customer can walk in and get one, I'm expecting the 27th. That way they can still say they met their committed delivery. I just think that customers placing an order on day one should be given a little consideration.
To those you believe stores need stock think about it this way. I know these are selling as quickly as a store receives stock but if that wasn't the case do you really believe this makes sense? Let me see, I have a committed order for an item or I can send to a store where it will sit for an indeterminate amount of time waiting to sell. Not the best business model. As a single buyer I know Apple couldn't care less about delaying my order... I know.. I always have a choice in products.
I expect they want to have stock for "Black Friday" if at all possible... Just disappointed.
I couldn't agree more. I also told apple reps this several times. How could you send stock to store after people have did your so called preorder game. I love my apple stuff. But I don't like these apple games.I ordered at what would have been 1:30 your time and received a slightly better date range of 19-27.
