Hey there,

Recently picked up the Smart Keyboard folio to make things more cohesive for my iPad. After starting to type on the keyboard i noticed that the space bar is on average much harder to press in, as opppsoed to the other key.

In fact, the other keys are super smooth and I was not expecting how nice they would be to press.

I am under the impression that the Space key is wider and thus requires more force to register a press, but is this a universal issue for all you smart folio users?

Given COVID it’s hard to compare these things so any help would be tremendously appreciated!

Yes the spacebar requires a bit more force compared to any other keys. Probably got to do with how it has more switches inside. It makes deeper sound too when pressed.

Funny thing i just realized all the keys closest to the edges are convex / bulge outward (tab, \ , return, ctrl, cmd , arrows etc) while those sits in the middle are concave / bulge inward ( asdf 1234) and i had this for over a year. Interesting 🙃

Phew ... I was worried I’d have to figure out a return amidst COVID!!

I figured it was more of design thing because of the width of the key and increased switches.

Now that you mentioned it, I do see the concave / convex comparison that’s actually a really cool catch!
