Hey everyone,

After much debate, I just got the Smart Keyboard folio for my iPad Pro 11 inch. The thought of being able to type easily makes my iPad seem that much more useful.

On the flip side, it makes using the iPad in portrait mode for simple browsing-use a bit less comfortable.

I’m trying to debate if the inconveniences are worth it.

Any opinion/viewpoints are welcome!

I love mine. Everything I need in one compact little package. I don’t love the keys exposed when folded over, but it’s not a big deal. If I’m using it in portrait mode for awhile, I usually pop it out anyway, to keep it as light as possible for one-handed use.

How does everyone handle their iPad when they’re holding in portrait mode with the keyboard on the back of the iPad? Do you take special care to not press on the keys? So far I’ve been forcing myself to hold it with my left hand (where there’s no keys), but am not sure that is entirely necessary.

If I’m going to do that for more than five minutes I just take it off. But luckily, it’s really easy to takeoff and put back on.

Pretty much this. I don’t avoid pressing the keys, because they don’t do anything when they are in that position. But it still feels weird. That’s not really why I take it off, though. I take it off because my hand gets tired when I am holding it one-handed.
