SMB Mounts stop working in leopard

Hi,

We have a user with a Macbook who is now connected to our windows shares.

The SMB mount ok, but after a few hours he can't attach to them. He can still see the network but SMB's won't mount.

If there a fix or a way of restarting smb networks at least without rebooting?
