After doing a clean reinstall of snow leopard my macbook now has some sort of SMC fault.

The symptoms are:
No backlight on the keyboard
Battery indicator lights not working
Not going into sleep mode when i close the lid
Kernal_Task running 300+% of cpu
Fan constantly running at 6200rpm

These are all tasks performed by the SMC i believe. I have read in a thread that i can no longer find that the SMC could be in a debugging mode and that there is a terminal command to resolve this. If anyone knows anything of this it would be a great help to me.

I wanted to try this myself before having to send it off to be repaired.
