SMC & PRAM reset not working

Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues with my display so I'm trying to reset my SMC and NVRAM/PRAM.

For SMC I can't really tell if it's working, but for NVRAM I do know for sure. The apple logo is not coming up a second time/it's not rebooting in the procedure. Seems like it doesn't register the control option P R command. Is anyone else having the same issue with their M1?

SMC and NVRAM do not exist on Apple Silicon.
