In my updates thing, there is this update available:

I have an early 2013 15" Retina MacBook Pro. It says it's for 2012 models, so am I supposed to download this?

If it's showing in your updates I'd just go ahead and download it. The Mid 2012 and Early 2013 models are very similar.
