smelly AirPods max?

Mine have a weird smell too. I’ve been wearing them all day and got used to it.
 
I like it haha. It’s a similar smell as my temperpedic pillows are. Smells new
 
Anyone else get super itchy from these things? Not sure if it will go away with the smell but they are making my hair itch like crazy.
 
YES!!! I came to post the exact thing. It smells like a bad new car smell. They stink. I feel like I was getting high.
 
I did a 3 month Tempurpedic mattress trial 20 years ago - never stopped smelling. However, I read that is not typical and other memory foam may arrive scentless or quickly improve. Already read one Airpods Max review that arrived smelly and was gone two days later.
 
I know that new Apple products have a smell to them. Also a smell when you open up an iPhone, iPad, HomePod, Mac, etc. Probably just the adhesives off gassing.. Is it bad that I kinda like it? I was disassembling a 3 year old iPad Pro and as soon as I removed the display, you could smell that new Apple product scent. Is it bad that I like it?😂

I got my new AirPod Max today. Funny smell from them. My ears feels burning and itchy at night. When I was scratching the swelling on my ears, a lump of rotten flesh dropped off. What the hell is happening to me?

Fever gone but itchy. Hungry and eat doggy food. Itchy itchy Scott came. Ugly face so killed him. Tasty.

It smells like a new car to me...but it seems to be dying down now (had them for about a week)
 
Normally I like the smell of new apple products, but not the case or cushions on these. The AirPod Pro silicone tips also have a funky smell, but the APM is terrible. Washed both the case and cushions in the sink with cold water and laundry detergent. Still smells, but it isn’t as strong.
