Sending texts to a Verizon Android device always fails when I am on AT&T wifi calling. Need to disable it just to get my texts through. What gives?

should work fine then. I am able to put my phone in airplane mode, and still send SMS messages while WiFi calling is enabled. Might want to have AT&T remove the feature from your line, and try provisioning it again.

I had a similar problem with my iPhone 6+. I had to disable wifi calling on my phone AND contact AT&T and have them disable wifi calling on my line as well.

Im hoping they fix the issue soon, the ability to send as receive calls and texts via wifi when the cell signal is poor is a good feature.

I'm an AT&T customer running iOS 9.1 on an iPhone 6 with no issues sending or receiving SMS messages while the "cellular" connection is being routed over Wi-Fi. I didn't have any issues sending or receiving SMS messages on 9.0.2, either.

I have been using AT&T Wi-Fi calling since it was first available in the iOS 9 public beta. When I am home my iPhone is usually in Wi-Fi because the cell signal is weak (South Florida house with rebar in the walls). I have not had any problems with sending or receiving SMS messages. I do think there may be a problem with NumberSync, however. When I turned it on, I had no problem sending an SMS text, but I know I missed receiving one. After I turned it off, my texting worked properly again.

well FWIW it seems to be working now so maybe it was just a temporary fluke!
