SMS Messaging App

I am looking for a text messaging app that uses data instead of the messages I have for my plan that I can send & receive texts with my current phone number. I have an old grandfathered unlimited data plan with 700 minutes of talk, 1000 texts & unlimited data. A lot of my text messages are to/from people that do not have iPhones.


Current iPhone 5s iOS 8.1 is jailbroken so if you know of something on cydia that would be good.

You mean you need to send message freely using 2g-3g data plan then the best is whatsapp or tango

You have lots of choices but good luck getting your friends to agree to use something other than SMS.
