SMS relay iOS 8.0.2

I just downloaded Yosemite and I can't get sms relay to work. I don't even see how to enable it. Do I need iOS 8.1?

Yes, it was removed from the 8.0.X versions

Is SMS Relay where you can send a text message to non-iMessage users from another device besides an Iphone? If not, what is it? Thanks.

My iPhone is on 8.1 beta 2 and I just downloaded Yosemite and it's not actually working for me either.

Once you get 8.1 public release Monday, it will work.

I just updated a 2011 Air to Yosemite from GM3 and SMS relay works right now with a 6+ on 8.1 Beta 2.

It worked for a spell during the beta process, but Apple turned it off due to issues.

Give it 'til Monday and it should be up and running again

Is it also the same for two iOS devices? Or should my SMS going to my phone still be showing up on my iPad? I had a non iPhone user friend today send me a text and nothing. Most of my friends are on iPhone so I didn't notice it till now.
