SMTP for printer/scanner setup

HP printer is asking for an SMTP during install before it will let me print using wireless or scan anything in...

help?
 
It wants the address of your E-mail server. Not sure why it would need it, but it might be one of those printers with the "feature" of emailing it and having it print, or E-mailing you status reports.

Check your E-mail provider for the smtp settings.
