Hello all,
An HP Color LaserJet 5550 at work is making smudges on all printouts. I've already done some basic troubleshooting, but could not find the cause. When I printed the PQ Troubleshooting pages, all the pages were smudged, which probably rules out a bad toner cartridge. I've attached a picture of these pages. I suspect it's the image fuser kit, even though it shows it's at 49%. It might be the image transfer kit, but since the smudge happens at the exact same place, I doubt it. However, it's at 40%, so could that be the cause? I'm asking for confirmation from anyone who has experience with these printers, or other components I should check.
Thanks!
