Is there any way to get it to work with my 4S? It says invalid ispw when I try to load the firmware I got from iTunes, and there isn't an option for the 4S on the download page in Sn0wbreeze.

If not, is there any way I can make custom firmware on Windows for my 4S?

no why to make it work, sn0wbreeze uses the limera1n exploit, that is the bootrom exploit from the IP4, which is useless for the 4s, therefore you get the invalid.

You cant currently make custom firmware for the 4S.
The only option you have to JB your 4S is absinthe.

I want custom firmware so I can easily restore most of the stuff I had when I accidentally break my phone 😛

Well what about downloading the packages on my computer, and installing them all at once easily while plugged in?

The JB packages from cydia.
Why not use pkgbackup or one of the many batch installers on cydia that puts all your stuff back at once?

Yea but I can't pay for any apps for a bit. Need the money elsewhere 🙁

Is there really no free alternative?

not a good one at least.. if you want to go a cheap route use your iPhone take snap shots of the jailbreak tweaks. you can then use the photos to remember them once you jailbreak.. because of a error I've bought pkgbackup twice and it's still worth it.

I keep a text document on my computer listing all jailbreak programs I have. I also save the .deb files during download for my own backup. Of course those files become outdated as soon the program is updated. But it is very easy to put all the debs into an autoinstall folder, reboot and voila they are installed.

How do you save the .deb files? And how would I put those into an autoinstall folder?
