I've heard they can possibly be first come first serve.. I reserved it in the next 2 hours. Am I guaranteed this phone? Don't want to drive an hour and walk out empty handed.

Snagged a "reservation" at an Apple store.

Just make sure you arrive within your time window. But if your time window is in late afternoon/evening, just go in earlier as they will still see you.
I wouldn't risk it coming in for late scheduled time. My appointment was for 16:45 and I collected mine at 13:20 and they didn't turn me away. Done this for 6s and this year.

I was able to snag a 7+ black 128 at an Apple store and reserved my check in time for 2:30 ... However, I did not get there till 5 and all was fine.
Did you pay for the device already ? I was able to buy it online for store pickup and my cc was charged right away.
If you reserve, you're expected to be there at that time or earlier otherwise they'll release your device. I was at a low volume Apple Store for my reservation yesterday and watched someone get turned away because they were an hour late and the phone had already been re reserved by someone else.
You're guaranteed the phone though. It has your name on the appointment and you have to provide the QR code in the email at the appointment for them to release the phone to you. Congrats on getting one!

Was able to reseve one for today. Sales guy said reservations have a grace period of an hour or two before they sell it to a walk-in or re-list in inventory.
If the Reserve is confirmed and you arrive with in the allotted time limit, then yes.
Thanks everyone! I arrived at my appointment time and got a 128gb Black. I couldn't believe it, and was super happy walking out haha.
What I did... I kept refreshing istocknow.com. The inventory was changing hourly at my local store. They just happened to get the phone I wanted. I suggest if anyone wants one: to do to the same!
