My 2.3Ghz Mini just arrived. All I can say is Wow!

My screen downloads are Snap, Crackle, and Pop! It's almost instantaneous, of course my internet connection is approximate 25 Gbs. Download and 5.5 Gbs. Upload.

I went to my SmugMug photo account and opened some images in their Original resolution (10 Gb files) almost instantly.

I ran the Geek Benchmarks (32 Bit)

    2.3 Ghz w/ 4GB Ram - 10722
    2.3 Ghz w/ 8GB Ram - 10955 2.1% improvement

This compares to my Late 2009 iMac 3.06 Dual Core of 4100 - 267% improvement

    I'm very happy:D :apple: :D

Correction: should have said MBS not GBS...Its fast just not that fast...Ooops

My modem is a Motorola SB6120 DOCSIS 3 which really improved my speeds. I'm paying for 12 Mbs speed but DOCSIS 3 gives me real world 2X that.

Now that I have the Mini and faster monitor, my refresh is only limited by the speed of my hand to move the mouse. Very cool! :D

    Show off! :D Just kidding...

Are you at a university or military installation with a T1 line?

Just for the record, a T1 is 1.5mbit. An iPhone 5 with normal LTE service is about 16x the speed of a T1 @ ~25mbit.

Remember when a T1 line was considered fast? My best iPhone 5 LTE downloads have been just over 50 Mbps and my home Wifi usually is in the 34-45 Mbps range.

I saw 45mb on LTE a couple of times, but I generally hover around 25. Yeah, I remember when a T1 was fast. I started an ISP almost 20 years ago and our main line serving 1000+ customers was a T1. Of course that was when the web was predominently text with colorful HR lines and marble balls representing the "graphical" piece of the equation :)

It's strange -- I live in the sticks of western Massachusetts, yet Comcast keeps rolling out speed increases like we are a major metropolitan area. Not that I'm complaining!
