I am having issues with the "Snap To Grid" function on the desktop. I cannot get the icons to snap properly and am having issues with blank spots and misaligned files on the desktop. It's very weird and hard to describe. I took a screenshot but apparently I can't upload it to the board without having a URL to it.

Anyone else have this issue?

I've tried changing the grid spacing and icon size but the issue still occurs.

Work around

I'm assuming you got this fixed, but just incase anyone else stumbles across this before the Apple Discussion forums:

I set my icon size to 44x44 (instead of 48x48) and played with the grid spacing (just below the 3rd tick mark) and my icons fit. If it's still on 48x48 I end up with a blank space at the bottom row of my icons near the trash bin. An icon will fit there, but snap to grid moves the icon over to another column. To fix that you can change the font size to 11, put the icons where you want (with snap to grid on) and then change the font back to 12 and all the icons will stay where they were (at least they did for me). Also, my Bootcamp icon name was in all caps and the 'p' no longer fit on one line, so I put it in lower case.

So it's a fix of sorts, but there's still a glitch.
