The only thing that fixes it is a restart.

I heard disabling the screen-saver works but i don't want to do that and should have to after spending 2000$ on it rather than some 500$ dell.

I have an iMac 3.06 dual core with 4gig RAM and all i want to do is let my computer sleep (which it won't do unless I use the please sleep program) using the energy saver than have it wake up and work like normal.

    Thanks in advance!

Do you have anything plugged into a Firewire port? If so, unplug it and see if that helps.
