Just noticing the updated Flash Player on the new Snow Leopard update is taking about 660 MB of actual memory on my MBP.

Has anyone noticed and is this normal?

I get 72.1mb in activity monitor. What/where are you looking?

Looking in Activity Monitor too. I just rebooted and same thing. What's going on?

Does it have anything to do with me upgrading my Flash Player before I upgraded Snow Leopard?

Which process is Flash? My Safari process is taking 100 MB real memory playing a Hulu video. I toggled so all processes show but am not seeing a separate Flash process.

Back to normal now...whew.

That was weird. I forced quit Flash in Activity Monitor and turned it back on (actually went to a site with Flash and it turned on itself) and wala, it's not hogging memory anymore.

Some things I just can't explain, but, all is well now. Thanks for pitching in. 🙂
