Snow Leopard desktop corruption !!??

Hello Collective Wisdom,

Anybody noticed any occasional desktop corruption on 10.6? Take a look at the screenshot attached and please tell me what you think. This had never happened on my 2-year old Macbook running Leopard (10.5), but it did occur on my second day of running 10.6.

The problem disappeared a few minutes later, but I have no clue why or how...😕

Any ideas?

that looks like video card overheating artifacts.
