Ok, I know this has to be an apple/adobe issue.

I still get near 100% cpu usage when playing HD youtube flash. Even in Snow leopard, this "issue" does not get remedied.

    running SL on 8600MGT 512MB / Macbook Pro 2.5Ghz June 2008.

Adobe makes flash, it also runs on windows xp, vista, and now windows 7 without high cpu usage.

Only on the apple platform does this "issue" occur.

Go e-mail Adobe and complain. This has nothing to do with Apple and their hardware and or software.

CHeck Activity Monitor and you'll likely see that Flash Player is the culprit. Apple lists it as its own process in SL.

Flash has always sucked on a Mac, Adobe needs to get their game together.
