Snow Leopard hangs when plugging headphones

Hi guys

Everytime I plug or unplug the headphones(iPhone 3GS ones) from my uMBP the systems hangs, sometimes even with beachball.

Am I the only one with this odd issue?

This exact problem has been happening me too. It's been happening since 10.6.0, I assumed it was a minor issue that was going to be fixed in one of the updates but it never came.
