Hey im partitioning my macbook pro i5 , i want to install bootcamp win7, hd space is 500gb. although it only needs 15gb to (5gb free) to split, what is the optimize size??

Optimum size for what? I can't tell if you are talking about SL or Win7. :confused:

Optimize size for SL, I will be using windows 7 more so i need max amount of space there.

That is the minimum requirements; I don't know an exact number but I would assume that the optimum space is somewhat more than 5 GB. :)

[EDIT] I would say leave 15-20 GB (or maybe a bit more) for SL, so you'll have enough for usability. That still leaves plenty out of a 500 GB HDD. :)
