I've been holding off to purchase my Macbook Pro until Snow Leopard comes out. Seeing as that date is now this coming Friday, I was wondering if anyone knows when SL will start shipping pre-installed on new MBPs. I know it would be easy enough to just update the new computer but, if possible, I'd prefer it to already be loaded on the notebook I buy.

A few weeks. Please search; this has been answered countless times for every OS release.

Having a license to two versions of an operating system can do wonders for app comparability.

So will you yell and scream when it's just a drop-in disk? EVERY new OS always has drop-in disks for the first week or so.

Nothing on that page refutes my point. It "comes with" Snow Leopard, it just won't be installed.
