So I'm getting the SL when it comes out, do I have to back up everything, or will it install keeping current programs, softawares etc...

You know, I use Logic Pro 8, do I have to install it again?

It'll keep everything. Just click 'archive and install' when installing.

Just do an Upgrade.

Survivors of past OS upgrades . . . some going back further than OS 7 . . . know that there's always a "moment of truth" when you do the upgrade install and you start checking which of your apps and hardware still works. 😀
