My Macbook still has OS 10.5 "Leopard". I'm about to upgrade to SL. Do I still need to do full updates on 10.5 THEN run SL or I can just run SL over what I've got and that will bring me fully up to date(after running updates).
 
You can update from Mac OS X 10.5.0 to Mac OS X 10.6.x if you want if you buy the Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD for 29 USD.
 
Make sure you're backed up though before doing any kind of thing like that, though. Stuff can go wrong 🙁

I don't have any programs installed beyond the basic Leopard install. I haven't been using it for anything. I was using Windows on Bootcamp. But now I'm gonna go whole hog on Mac OS X.😀
 
backing up is definitely a good idea...can't say how many times i've been saved from catastrophe by monthly backups to multiple drives
