Hi everyone, I hope all of you are having a great day. When I restore a disk image in Snow Leopard it takes over 50gb of install space! I know that os x should take about 9gb. What is happening?
    Thanks in advance.

Are you restoring user data and user-installed apps along with the OS? That would cause the space requirement to grow.

I tried a reinstall of Snow Leopard and once again it takes up over 50gb. This happens with a clean install as well as a disk restore. What can i do? SL should only take 9 gb or so.

restoring a disk image is not the same as doing a clean install. What exactly are you trying to do??

Hi Old-wiz, I would like to restore a disk image, but when i do so, Disk Utilities shows that i have used up over 50gb of space. This happens when i do a clean install also.
