When I click on the link on the Apple Store webpage, it just asks me to sign in to my account. Once I do that, it takes me to my cart which says empty.

I qualify for the program, and I purchased the unit online through the ADC store.

Had the same problem.
I then switched to Firefox, and was able to order it.

I just bought my MBP less than an hour ago, and I just did the Up-To-Date program, and everything worked on FF.

Weird.

seems to be a cookie issue....

i love cookies...but they have let me down....

anyways...dont bother calling apple...there clueless about the up to date program....3 times they told me...well snow leopard is not out yet so you cant preorder it

which makes no sense at all.....i thought that was what a preorder is...for somthing not out.

i also tried and i could not order it using Internet Explorer. It just shows up as empty in my shopping cart.

edit- i used Firefox and it actually worked this time. I placed my order

yeah it worked for me when i didnt have 10 bucks on my card, now that i'm ready to order it doesn't work...any tips? i would rather not send in the form...

i was having the same problem. i entered all my information and then my cart would appear as empty. but then i noticed i was doing it wrong. if you read the text you can see that the left hand side is if you bought the mac online. right hand side is if you bought it in a store. i bought mine at an apple store and was clicking the link on the left. once i used the link on the right it worked! hope this helps

The irony is, I needed to use IE6 on my work laptop to get it to work! It would come up with an empty cart when I tried using Safari and Firefox 3.5 on my Mac.

Didn't work for me in Safari or Firefox either. Using this thread as inspiration, I booted to IE in Parallels and it worked... can't say I'm impressed.

BAH! I tried so many times since the hardware up to date program was announced and kept getting that empty cart. I used both firefox and safari. After reading this forum and seeing someone had success with their iphone, I tried it on my ipod touch and it finally worked! Woohoo!

Safari and FF did not work for me on my MBP. I kept getting an empty cart.

Tried it on my 3gs iPhone, and voila, works :)

I tried on all sorts of systems. None worked, so I just forked over $29. In the grand scheme, it doesn't matter.

If I purchase a macbook pro this week before friday will it come with a snow leopard disc or do I have to wait until friday to get that?

Of all the web browsers in all the world...

I tried getting this to work with Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. Unbelievably, this only worked when I used Internet Explorer under Windows XP via Fusion.

Gotta love irony.

Same issue here. I even called up Apple and they were stumped about it. Gonna try in internet explorer next.

Got It To Work

Here's what I did to get it to work. Don't us the links for purchases from the Apple Online Store, but rather use the Apple Retail Store/Authorized reseller links. Once I got in, I put "Apple Online" for the company, and Cupertino, CA for the city/state. My order went through without a hitch.

i was unable to get it to work on my umbp, however i was able to order from my roommates asus netbook with ie., thanks apple

I bought my umbp at 8/8.
And I am totally fine with 10.5.8 now.

The web page says the Up-To-Date program ends at Dec 26, 2009.

So in theory, if I want a little big longer, and buy it before 12/26, will I get a 10.6.1 DVD?

Didn't work for me either.
