    Hello all,

    Anyone ever encountered this.

If I select more then one folder, and then copy those folders to another location, snow leopard will start and create one folder, but then say it can't copy because an item with the same name already exists. It basically means if I ever want to copy a folder with sub folders, I have to copy individual contents of folders one by one. Very annoying indeed!

I'm using the 24" imac running 10.6.2 and I most of my media files are stored on a 1tb external firewire WD drive.

    Thanks in advance!

I experienced the exact same issue when copying from one external drive to another.

Both drives were formatted as FAT32...

It appears its a fault with 10.6.2

The easiest work around appears to be to copy and paste rather then drag and drop!

Ridiculous bug to have not been patched yet though!

    I have the same problem!

I share files with my coworkers using a D-Link DNS-323.
I was the only one in the office who upgraded to a Snow Leopard.
Since doing so, I've had problems copying folders onto Wilson (our D-link is named after the volleyball in Cast Away).
This is the error message I get:

The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in folder can’t be read or written.
    (Error code -36)

I get this even though I've made sure to set permissions to Read&Write to the entire folder and its contents.

If anyone could shed some light on the matter, I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance!

I'm using path finder instead of finder.

Haven't had a single issue since!

Someone told me to try that so I downloaded the trial.
It worked fine after that! I think I'll purchase it.

    Thanks!
