Hey all,

I've just upgraded to Snow Leopard. I used this method:

http://intlect.com/how-to-archive-and-install-os-x-snow-leopard/

To do an archive & install style process. I've gotten all my personal data across, but I've got a problem with my Time Capsule + Time Machine backups.

When I try a time machine backup, it connects to my TC as the same user as before (same mac + computer name also). It processes for a while, and then says there isn't enough space as the existing backups use most of it up. TM should just delete the old backups, but it doesn't see the old backups as valid. If I enter the TM backups, I can't see any of my old backups.

So basically - how can I convince Snow Leopard to use my existing TM backups?

Thanks1

As with many things - user error is to blame. :)

My TC uses local user accounts for authentication. It seems I put my new backup in a different directory. I switched it back to the old directory, and it works fully as expected!
