We got about an 1" of snow last night, the sun is out and has melted it on the sidewalk. This is the third snow this week, they are predicting more for Friday. January was the snowiest on record for that month. This year so far is the third snowiest in the past decade.

Snow? I have heard that it is white fluffy stuff that forms when it gets cold. Since living in the tropics I can hardly remember what "cold" or "snow" is anymore. :(

Come over to Maryland. Our current forecast is snow starting tomorrow (Thursday) morning and continuing though the day and into the early hours of Friday, with accumulations anywhere from 4" to 12". Ought to be a fun ride home from work tomorrow evening

Really no reason to be sad. Just think of all the advantages you have living in Hawaii. All the sand and beautiful beaches. :D

This country is pathetic, a scattering of snow in the south east and the weather people are telling everyone to only travel if they absolutely must

My journey in was fine :D

On Tuesday I drove up from London to Coventry in my ladies A8... :) decided that it'd be much more fun to take the B Roads and a little bit of the Fosse Way rather than the M1... ;)

Soooooooooooooooooo much fun, drifting courtesy of Quattro ;) :D

3-6 inches today in Connecticut but talks of a bigger storm Monday and Tuesday in the Northeast.

Yeah, I am not really sad. Just got back from a research cruise around Maui and the Big Island. Lots of scuba diving and also got to see lava flowing into the sea from the ship. So, yes, not too much to complain about!! ;)

I sounds like a continuous vacation spot. The bird in your avatar is beautiful.

We'll call it a working vacation ;) . The bird is a New Zealand Kea. They live only in the high alpine areas of the south island of NZ, in fact they are the only parrot that lives in mountainous areas. They are super smart and very "cheeky." It is not unusual for them to tear windshield wipers off people's cars, steal hiking boots from outside tents, steal cameras and drop them from high places, etc. I think if I wasnt a marine biologist I would have to study birds. :D

Raining here in Connecticut (and the whole Northeast?), then turned to snow and tonight freezing rain. Visibility is low. Guess I will sleep here in lab tonight... :(

Central Connecticut went from rain to sleet to now 4 inches of snow and counting and a temp of 40's at 6am to 20's by noon

Here in Boston we had 16 days of temperatures below normal. Yesterday the high temperature was 46, normal is 44. This morning the temperature was 40, with light rain. Now the temperature is 34 and has changed to freezing drizzle. They are predicting 3 - 5" of snow. Possible low temperature of 10 tonight.
