    Hello everyone,

Just freshly reinstall SL on my new 1TB WD HDD for my unibody MBP.
I copied all my pictures and in a specific folder, then I go in, it SL try to refresh the icon, the spinning wheel starts in an infinite loop.

This folder comes from my CompacFlash card and all the pictures are ok within the CF.

While refreshing that particular folder, the HDD makes some weird tics. I ran a disk check and found nothing.

Does it look like my HDD is already gone? After 3 hours use?

If you hear a crackling or crunching sound, then that's fine. This is a sound move the reading heads. To reduce the occurrence of these sounds to defragment the hard drive.

If you hear a metallic rattle, then it indicates the presence of mechanical defects. Bring the store.
