I stayed up refreshing both apple and AT&T religiously. Ended up with early october deliver. So pissed. when ATT popped up ten minute waiting about flipped out. Cannot believe after all these years Apple cannot do a preoder correctly. This is a phone controversial, next year with the big update God help us all.

I ordered the Silver 32GB 7 Plus 13 minutes before the official preorder time with the Verizon app, and it said/says October 5th delivery which is so f*ing stupid.

Once I was finally able to get on the site 10 minutes later and delivery dates slipped I just said forget it.

I'll just try to do in-store pickup after the hype dies down. Plus now I can go and look at the two black colors before I decide.

I think people have pretty unreasonable expectations with this. As soon as the online store opens, you have millions of people, if not tens of millions, jamming into those systems to place their pre-orders. And, keep in mind, these are not simple tasks like just loading a blank google page ... there's backend databases from multiple companies that are being traversed and updated (eg. Apple, AT&T, your bank, etc), authorizations, upgrade and account checks, etc. These are complex transactions that are being attempted at a massive concurrency rate.

I understand the frustration, but that's what's going to happen when that sort of a complex load hits all at the same time. The biggest, most tech-savvy companies in the world always have issues with that scenario.

We need to not to not let our entitlement drive us to grit-toothed anger over something like this.
