If I believed them (which I didn’t), they would have tricked me and I would have spend $3000 on a defective product. And this is really terrible for a company to do.
I'm currently typing on a 2016 MBPr15 maxed out and have had no issues with my keyboard. I type on it 12 hours a day.

I've just recently received seven 2017 MBPr15 to replace 2015 MBPr15. I have no issues with my keyboard. The only issue I have heard so far is fat palming the HUGE touch surface, making the cursor jump to the bottom of a document.

haha,When i replaced faulty GPU on Macbook pro late 2011 i asked apple employe how permanent is that replacement and he told me that he had like more than 300 repairs and that no one has ever returned again.

After that my laptop died 4 times until i sold it after 5th logic board replacement. So,yes, i would call them a bunch of liars.

I guess ,same situation will be with keyboard replacement. They will keep going to replace faulty macs until extended warranty period expires, then you are screwed

Great in my experience. I don’t use tap to click, though.
I don't use tap to click, but the razer's palm rejection isn't that great and I don't see any software with it to adjust. Since the MBP's trackpad is even larger I was curious

No, what do you mean they tried to sell you for years? Maybe you tried to buy it ;-)
What years you talking about faulty keyboards? Other than the recent butterfly keyboards, the old one didn't have any issues related to that.

First of all you have 1 year warranty if something happens, second, for serious issues and design flaws, they will most likely make a repair program outside warranty like they always did in the past. (See the current 4 years of free repairs on the new keyboards)

You also have Apple Care if you are worried or free options for extended warranty like consumer rights or credit card insurance, so there are endless possibilities to your concerns.

Thinking the way you do about Apple trying to rip you off makes no sense into looking to buy a MBP from them and you should consider other options that you consider to be flawless.

I understand there are some minor issues with the new MBPs here and there for some people (i had my own issues), but still, its a great laptop and i am very happy with my 2017 15" MBP.

I understand there are some minor issues
Sorry, but I can't qualify the keyboard problem as a minor issue, especially when it means being without a laptop for a week (or weeks) as its getting repaired. The primary method of inputting and interacting with the laptop is the keyboard and when that fails to function as designed, its anything but minor.

I meant is minor because this problem is not so widespreas as many would think.
Most of the users are still using their 2016 or 2017 without any issues.
I understand this keyboard is more sensitive then previous models due to the new design and thiness, but that doesn't mean its doomed to fail 100% if you buy it.
Don't get me wrong, i had my own issues, first time within 2 months or purchase the left speakers blown completly and had the entire top replaced, then after another 3 months some keys were a bit f@cked up and had it replaced again, but it doesn't matter is Apple, Samsung or some other manufacturer, there will always be a small percentage of units that will fail or develop some issues.
If Apple wouldn't be so well know, im pretty sure there will be nowhere mentions and threads about failing keyboards, GPU's and delaminating LCDs.

I guess as a low level employee you’re told to sell the Macs and that all models have some sort of issues in particular production runs. That’s consumer electronics.

And then one day you’re told that there is a keyboard repair program.

Apple employees for years tried to sell me $3000+ laptops claiming there was nothing wrong with the keyboards eventhough I showed them that their own demo models have defective keyboards.

Honestly, this is fraud.
OMG! Where did this take place? Your home? Metro station? Local brew pub? While shopping for luggage?
Perhaps I should be careful where I roam, the last thing we need are a bunch of Apple employees pushing them $3000+ Laptops on us honest citizens just trying to accomplish our daily routines.

Ahhh, the 'ole - "it didn't happen to me, so it's not a big deal" angle. I love when people do this.
Not at all but you took it as such an argument. There are different groups to consider on the real issue:
1. those who actually have a keyboard issue
2. those who believe they have a keyboard issue because they read something about it
3. those who read something about it and want to jump on the complaint wagon
4. those who don't have an issue and own the product
5. those who don't have an issue and don't own the product
There's more but not worth going down into.

Depending on what type of person you are will depend on which group you jump into, obviously. For those who love playing the victim, options 2 and 3 are the ideal group and are the more outspoken on this forum, they love attention at any cost.

Same here. The 2011 was the worst investment of my life.

It died 2.5 years after buying it. Over a year later Apple started the repair program and even with a repaired logic board the machine was worthless. It was already 4 years old at this point and obviously nobody really wanted to buy it because of the GPU problems.

It's exactly the same situation with the keyboard that will fail at any moment. Nobody in their right mind would buy one second hand knowing these are damaged goods with an expiration date.

Does that happen often? How is the palm rejection?

I don't use tap to click, but the razer's palm rejection isn't that great and I don't see any software with it to adjust. Since the MBP's trackpad is even larger I was curious

Initially, I have had the palm taps and click, but the hands and fingers adjusted very quickly (probably within some hours of use) without even me knowing when did that happen. Today I have no accidental hits.

I've owned my MacBook Pro for over a year and the keyboard has been ok. A couple of times though it did get a stuck key and I had to clean it pretty well for the key to start working again. My computer doesn't get hot often so that could be why the keyboard has been ok. It seems more of the issues happen when the computers are running heavy loads and get hot.

FWIW I prefer this keyboard to the previous MacBook Pro models. I feel both are vastly inferior to Thinkpad's though.
[doublepost=1530380912][/doublepost]Keyboard issues aside I personally think this is one of the most beautiful laptops Apple has ever made. It's so sleek, slim and sexy and it looks and feels like an expensive product. I do think it's overpriced based on its specs and I hope Apple fixes the value equation because I think it would receive less criticism if Apple lowered the price.

Oh and the Touch Bar either needs to be expanded upon or dropped. It's ok but the only real use I have with it is TouchID which is amazing. Oh and it's great for emojis
