I really hope it is soon, can't wait to get rid of my Surface Pro 3 - it was a fun diversion, and if I'm honest Windows 10 is not that bad. Just can't wait to go back to OSX and feel at home again.

Cult of Mac just showed a picture where an Apple store already has those line dividers up that they use for iPhone releases up outside of the store they are at. That usually only means that a product release is happening that day.

I dont think I've ever seen lines form for Mac's just iOS devices.

Another plausible explanation is that Apple will have demo units on display today, and is anticipating enough foot traffic to warrant a queue outside some locations.

That's what I was thinking as well. Not sure why they would have these set up outside an Apple store already unless they were expecting more people then usual. This is the pic they posted. Didn't say where this was.

That is not apple style. They are smart enough to know people have a short attention span. So when they announce new products they usually come out in 1-2 weeks tops.

Releasing a new product until 2017 will hurt sales. Because anybody that is planning to buy a Labtop will just wait. Killing any kind of current sales

Also they'd miss out on Christmas.

Wonder what the chances of Best Buy having them for today are...

I could definitely see them having stock today. They seem like a really close parter with Apple and carry products on launch day.

highly doubt it. BB would have them next week at the earliest

Like I said earlier, they had the 12" MacBook before Apple did.
