can I burn a TV that is purchased from iTunes to a DVD? I don't think its even possible or legal.

Basically it's neither legal nor possible. Hook up either your computer or your iPod to your TV and play it from iTunes.

You could output the analogue video through s-video into a set-top DVD recorder, you might need a macrovision removal device between the two - this depends the recorder usually.
