This annoying bug is back, and each time it starts happening, I have to reboot my Mac.

Basically, when moving the cursor, all of a sudden it stops and then "jumps". This bug is affecting both my Magic Trackpad and my Logitech M510. It's definitely a software issue as it goes away after a reboot.

Switched to 1.5v batteries...... Nope! Damn bug still exists.

Yes
Turning just my mouse off and back on fixes the jumpyness for me.
Haven't tried my trackpad, as it's sitting, batteryless in a drawer somewhere.

Well, I think I figured out why my mouse suddenly acted up today: It just died. (Tried using two different sets of batteries, and no go. Even tested my batts with a battery meeter and the batts have juice.)

So, right now I'm using my :apple:Magic Mouse and so far so good.

Yes
Did you thoroughly clean the battery contacts inside the mouse? 3 volts isn't much juice, so even a tiny bit of crud can drop the voltage to the point your mouse doesn't work reliably.
