When I bought my unibody MB, I got the 2.4GHz version mainly to get this feature.

yeah. i was so pissed that my 2.0 didn't have that. thought i wouldn't mind... if only my external keyboards had backlighting!

It looks nice.

It only looks nice from looking directly down on the keys; otherwise it looks pretty tacky seeing a varying amount of light coming from each key and able to see all the different undersides of them.

good MBP owners in my class are more preoccupied with building a spreadsheet accurately in dark lecture auditorium instead of worrying about how tacky a keyboard looks.
