AirTags are designed around (figuratively and literally) the common CR2032 battery cell. Only a coincidence it is shaped/sized like a charging pad.

This guy claims that he actually charged his AirTag with the watch charger... but pure BS... as you can see, that thread was locked pretty quickly.

They have a replaceable battery (CR2032) ... they are NOT rechargeable... where did you get that crazy idea?
